Our Story
Who is Munay Works?
Munay is a Quechua word that represents: Love in action — a deep sense of compassion, connection, and care that guides how we show up for others and the world. Works symbolizing execution, outcomes and building real-world impact.
Jorge Montoya, M.S., the founder of Munay Works, has over 6 years of experience in the data, analytics and product space across finance and healthcare industries. Having lived in multiple cities he found himself becoming part of each community he has been in by volunteering with local nonprofits.
He saw the funding and limited resource struggles nonprofits faced firsthand through conversations with nonprofit leaders. He further explored this problem while participating in Vanderbilt’s Wond’ry Ideator Program, where he interviewed over 20 nonprofit leaders to better understand their challenges.
Munay Works was built from that foundation: Not to replace the people behind the mission, but to support them—so they can focus on what matters most like building real, sustainable relationships with the overall community.
